这真是一场完美的比赛！12月13日，我们初一的语音语调模仿大赛如期举行。参加这次语音语调模仿大赛的有16位选手，他们来自不同的班级，他们有来自4A 的Tiffany 和Yolanda；4B的 Nancy 和 Eve；3A的Linda和Alice；3B的Stephen和Summer；2A的Mike和Sonia；2B的Claire和Tony；1A 的Charley和Laura；以及1B的Coco和Allan.

比赛开始了，每一个选手都卯足了劲，一个个都展现出了非凡的水平，显示出了这半个多学期来，我们新一代杭外人的努力。

第一部分，是所有选手按事先抽签决定的顺序依次背诵规定篇目P16. 虽然是早已烂熟于心的课文，但在这样紧张的气氛下演绎出来觉得尤其完美。台上背得正起劲，台下的同学也忙着给自己班的同学打气、加油。背好了，一阵掌声；背砸了，只能在心里默默祈祷了。围着围巾、英伦味十足的Mike；声音甜美、长相很萌的Yolanda；英俊潇洒、语音漂亮的Charley；憨态可掬、字正腔圆的Allan；声音轻柔、每一个语音语调都处理得精准细腻的Coco… …每一个选手都给大家留下了深刻的印象。

A little body often harbors a great soul. 课文虽短，但“浓缩就是精华”，别说，模仿起来还挺难的，所以，不得不说，我们年级同学的水平都很高。

当第一轮比赛全部完成，我们1、2班的歌舞表演终于要上场了。当熟悉的We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together的旋律响起，唱歌的同学放开歌喉，舞蹈的同学更是尽情舞蹈。别看这些舞蹈动作有点搞笑，在语音语调模仿大赛前两周，我们的同学们可是天天训练，才能取得这么好的舞台效果。As a man sows, so he shall reap. 种瓜得瓜，种豆得豆，在掌声和笑声的背后，我们付出的努力可是鲜有人知的。

在笑声过后，第二部分的比赛随即开始，这次要求选手背诵校本教材P11—P15上自己喜欢的课文。从Lazy Jane 到 In the Store, 从Happy Birthday到Can I help you?…… 面对全年级的同学，16位选手依然保持着一份惯有的“淡定”，流畅地背完了课文。

比拼结束！评委在紧张地计分时，3、4班的节目也上场了。以“圣诞”为主题的歌声犹如天籁之音，把我们带到冰雪覆盖但充满温馨的圣诞气氛中， 圣诞老人很应景地出现了， 并分发起了礼物，到处是一片欢声笑语，最后，全体同学在轻快的舞曲中跳起了欢快的兔子舞，5116阶梯教室成了欢乐的海洋。

玩过跳过之后，最激动人心的时刻终于来临了——宣布奖项。当听到一等奖都属于我们1班时，我们班的同学更是激动地叫起了“Allan，Allan……”， 但是我们深深知道No pains, no gains，在这些奖项背后，一定是天赋与努力并重的结果。

转眼间，一个下午已经过去，我们的Imitation Contest完美地落下了帷幕。但是我们知道我们不会放松，因为我们知道优美地道的语音语调一直以来是我们杭外人立身的根本。So what is important in learning English? Pronunciation，Intonation，Imitation，Creative ideas, Critical thinking! All things are difficult before they are easy. 凡事都是由难到易，We have a long way to go. 让我们在学习英语的道路上，加油吧！我们很New，但我们也很牛！

初一年级的英语模仿大赛，是我在杭外参加的第一次英语的大型比赛。比赛中，我很幸运地获得了第三名。最大的感受有两点：一是离不开自己的努力，二是离不开老师及同学们的帮助。

比赛之前，我花了很长时间来准备，听音、背诵、模仿。徐老师也专门在课上腾出时间让我们积累比赛经验，并让同学们给我们提出意见。比赛第一轮，我有些紧张，结束后我忘了鞠躬！下来后同学们立即给了我中肯的建议；第二轮开始的时候，同学们热烈的掌声极大地鼓舞了我。我更加自信了，微笑回到我的脸上，因为我记起了徐老师的话：一定要微笑，千万要自信。站定，微笑，提气，开口。面对着全年级160名同学和所有的评委老师和外教老师，我开始了我惟妙惟肖的模仿。I made it.

I was very happy to take part in the Imitation Contest. It gave us a chance to show ourselves and see how well our classmates are doing in English learning. Everyone did a wonderful job and I was very much impressed. They not only spoke with beautiful intonation and pronunciation, but also spoke with emotion. I also tried my best and though I only won the second prize, I am very proud of myself. Our English teacher always tells us if we want to speak English like a native speaker, we must listen to the tape every day and imitate carefully. Let’s all practice hard.

Last week, we had a gorgeous Imitation Show. Everyone enjoyed it. They say that the Imitation Show was a great success and the school event impressed them a lot.

这次的语音语调模仿大赛让我们在紧张的学习之余得到了放松。参加这次Imitation Show的每一位选手都非常的努力，他们展现了新一代杭外人的精神风貌。串场节目的演员们自然也是功不可没的，有了他们，才让这次Show更加的精彩，是他们让全场high起来了。我想对他们说一句Thank you.

在这次的Imitation Show中, 来自1B Allan——韦天翔的表现令我们非常的惊讶。He was just amazing. Allan turned out to be No. 1. Oh, he is a hero now and we are all very proud of him. 他是Class 1B的骄傲, 也是Class 1的骄傲。Coco 也非常的优秀，取得了很好的成绩。我相信，这次的Imitation Show，使同学们对英语又增加了不少的兴趣。我希望以后能有更多这样的活动，让每个同学都有发挥自己才华的机会。

Last Thursday, we had a big school event——the Imitation Show! We were very excited because this is a fantastic show.

Our two players were Claire and Tony. Both of them did a very good job. They recited very fluently. They were wonderful! The other players were gorgeous, too. The No.1 winner was Allen from Class IB. However, I think everyone was the winner. I’m proud of them.

The performances were also very good. So many classmates joined in the signing and dancing that the whole lecture hall turned to a sea of and excitement and happiness. I enjoyed the performances. They were wonderful. They made us happy.

“No pains, no gains.” That’s what we learned from this Imitation Show. We should work hard. I believe that we can learn English very well. Fighting!

Last Thursday，we had an Imitation Contest. I was so lucky to be one of the sixteen contestants. Before the contest, I was excited and happy. I also knew the other players were excellent, too. So I listened to the English texts again and again.

The contest began. Each contestant tried his best. We were competing against each other for our dream——to be the winner.

I stepped onto the stage. I smiled because I know that smiling is the universal language. I spoke loudly and fluently. I came out to be one of those third prize winners. Maybe it wasn’t very good, but I tried. And That’s enough. I also sang and danced with my classmates. I felt very happy.

I still think English is very fun, and I try to learn English better because I believe in myself. I just need more practice. I’ll keep pushing myself and I love English.
