5月19日，外文节嘉年华活动在体育馆二楼举行。此次嘉年华游园活动以“Hand in Hand, Shape the Future”为主题，旨在为即将到来的杭州亚运会助力。同学们提前感受了亚运盛会的热情、运动带来的欢乐。

本次游园活动同学们进行了精心准备，由初一至高二的各个班级分别成立摊位，每个摊位负责宣传一项杭州亚运会中的体育运动项目。同学们在各班摊位前参与他们精心设计的活动，并凭集章卡兑换精美的亚运小礼品。

在活动中，记者团采访了一些人气班级摊位的负责人，并询问他们设计这些活动的灵感来源。许多同学本就是运动的忠实爱好者，他们通过结合对体育精神的理解以及自身平时运动的经验，为大家呈现了丰富多彩的游戏与表演。在此期间，许多老师和同学都对本次活动作出了很高评价。大家都认为嘉年华活动，让同学们有机会去更多地了解运动、关注运动、热爱运动。不少同学都对即将到来的杭州亚运会期待满满。

在此次活动中，外语与体育运动的碰撞，也更让大家有自信用不同的语言，去讲好杭州故事、亚运故事。

Aiming to celebrate the coming 19th Asian Games, Hangzhou Foreign Languages School organized a sports carnival. The carnival enables all students to participate in activities that combine English, sports and fun. Each class represented one in 38 different types of sports events in Asian Games. They first designed a poster about the sport and exhibited it, then they organized fun and unique English activities to help participants to understand the sport better. Some classes assigned quizzes about the sport event that were slightly difficult and intriguing, while others organized convenient and engaging live activities such as shooting, two-man tripod and wheelchair fencing. Students and teachers could vote for classes they liked the most. By participating in classes’ activities, students not only got surprising gifts but also collected stamps on their beautifully-designed coupons. 30 out of 38 stamps could qualify for delicate Asian Games’ gift exchange. The jury awarded each class for their votes, organizing and poster. The carnival successfully raises enthusiasm about Asian Games sports and promotes a sense of ownership for us HFLSers. It is an unforgettable journey post-pandemic and a golden opportunity for us to gain knowledge of sports. The carnival is truly a grand gathering of both Asian Games and foreign languages!
