2020年6月3-6日，Y7峰会，全称为Youth 7 Summit（七国集团青年领袖峰会），即G7峰会的配套青年领袖峰会如期举行。因新冠疫情影响，本年度的G7峰会和Y7峰会都调整为线上视频会议。G7峰会由成员国逐年轮流举办，本次的轮值国为美国。本次峰会围绕各国政策对新兴技术和人工智能、全球化贸易、国际安全局势、教育事业、工作机会、数字货币、能源等方向展开热烈讨论。我校高二年级蒋昕昀和潘越两位同学参加了本次线上会议，收获颇丰。本次会议邀请了以下专家主讲人：

全球最年轻的国家领导Al Mazrui(22岁当选阿联酋青年部长) 。

Nancy Linborg，美国和平研究所（United States Institute of Peace）所长，斯坦福大学学士，哈佛大学硕士。

Andrew Rabens，毕业于哈佛大学，现任美国白宫经济和国家安全委员会主任，美国国务院青年事务特别顾问。

David King教授，在哈佛大学肯尼迪学院任教28年至今，哈佛大学公共政策项目主席，公共政策高级讲师，美国国会和联邦政府高级顾问，同美国前总统们共同指导美国选举改革委员会。

以下为两位参会同学的感想：

6月3日至6日，我有幸作为列席代表参加了由美国YPFP（Young Professionals in Foreign Policy)组织主办的线上Y7 峰会，观摩来自G7各国家和组织的青年代表就不同方面的国际议题进行政策讨论和汇报。本次会议包含的环节有：炉边谈话，议题汇报和投票，公报（communique）和倡议宣读，以及政策问答。会议聚焦的议题有：国际联结和贸易，和平与安全，能源，以及教育和就业的未来。

这是我第一次亲身参与一场真正意义上的国际合作会议，有机会和来自全世界十几个国家的同龄人讨论我们共同关心的话题，与活跃在政治领域、致力于推动国际合作及人类未来进步的青年社会活动家、政治家交流互动。会议中，我们探讨了如何促进多边主义贸易发展，如何积极引导全球化的未来走向，如何推动能源向安全、人人公平享有、可持续的方向发展，如何保障信息时代的网络安全等话题。这不仅让我对社会议题有了更深的理解，也对国际合作条约协商、草拟、发布的步骤有了更全面的认识。我明白了政策制定者需要尽可能全面地预想政策产生的后果，做好处理“unintended consequences”的预案；也明白了倾听来自不同方向的声音，关心弱势群体在政策制定中的重要性。

本次Y7峰会的经历开拓了我的视野，也让我在精神上深受鼓舞。在炉边谈话环节中，受邀的政治家们都表现出了对与会青年观点的重视和鼓励。他们分享自己的成长经历，给我们以引导，又用期许的话语激励我们前进。令我感动的还有受邀嘉宾以及各国参会和列席代表体现出来的团结合作精神。即使全球各国现在都身处疫情的旋涡之中，与会者对于全球合作和人类共同美好未来的热切追求也使我坚定地相信，人类会携起手来共度难关。就像受邀的意大利驻美大使Armando Varricchio在会中说的那样：“全球化应该被坚持。我们会从疫情中学习，学会相互理解、信任，放下差异和单边主义”。

I attended the 2020 global youth leadership conference the past week and was greatly inspired by this incredible journey.

The most unforgettable part of Y7 is the Last day of Y7 model. Professor King, a renowned professor from Harvard University, was in the conference to have 1-to-1 discussions and Q-A with us. He commented on my policy regarding data privacy and helped me to understand the current situation more clearly. He is really knowledgeable and humorous- It is an honor to be part of the discussion and get the detailed answer from him. It is like entering another world that views everything from a higher level and perspective.

“Find an okay acorn in your life and start to experiment with your own policy. Just make differences in the world.” This is the paraphrased belief he shared at the end of the concentration. And I find it extremely motivating.

My experience all starts with wanting more points for involvement and winning awards, but it ends with so much more: In addition to being selected as one of the ten most valuable delegates, I got the opportunity to watch the delegates present their policies and government officials share their opinions just with a laptop at home. Furthermore, it has been a magical journey of meeting new people, making friends and clashing our ideas. It is the place where everyone listens to you carefully and responds to you thoughtfully.

Time seems to fly in this experience. Thank all of the organizers, guest speakers and delegates for making it possible! Hope to see you guys again!
