开学以来，初二年级同学通过各种形式展示了自己寒假里的学习收获，通过英语词汇竞赛、好书推荐、原版电影片花赏析、英语报刊阅读交流等活动将学习所得与同学们分享。

Reading books is important in English learning. On winter vacation, we read various books about science and technology. We chose different books and wrote book reviews. All the students paid full attention to reading. We learned a lot of knowledge about science from these books, such as Science at the mall, Airport, Sandy shore and Zoo. Read more, and you will learn a lot of information you didn’t know from different books. So let’s read together.

Reading newspapers is part of our school life. This winter holiday we read the Teens and shared the reviews in class at the beginning of this semester. It was great fun to learn something new from the newspaper. The more you read, the more joys you will get!

The most interesting activity among all the winter vacation homework must be Oral Speech and Trailers Show. We chose the movie we like most to recommend in class and played a trailer as well. All of my classmates did well. It was like a movie feast. We shared the feelings after we watched and it really broadened my vision. I will probably watch some of the movies recommended by my classmates on weekends.

It seems like a custom in our school to have a vocabulary contest at the beginning of a new semester. The same as usual, we spent some time on the vocabulary in winter vacation. As it is said, words are the base and foundation of English learning, so we really want to enlarge our vocabulary. I’d like to say congratulations to the winners in the contest.
