My name is Namrata, but most people know me as Nami. I was born in London and grew up in Tanzania before returning to the UK at age nine. It was during secondary school that I became fascinated by East Asian culture, which led me to pursue a degree in Chinese and Business Management at The University of Manchester. As part of my course, I spent a year studying Chinese at 浙江大学, where I fell in love with China, and more specifically, Hangzhou.
       Before becoming an ESL teacher, I worked as a management trainee in the hospitality industry and as a business development representative for a media and events company.
       I am now delighted to be back in Hangzhou and look forward to discovering the beauty of language and culture together with my students.
