Hello, I'm Cavin Morier! With a Bachelor's Degree, two Master's Degrees, and multiple diplomas and certifications under my belt, I've been passionately teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) since 2006. My expertise spans academic and Business English, and I'm thrilled to be part of the vibrant community at Hangzhou Foreign Language School.

My journey in education has been fulfilling, marked by continuous learning and adaptation. While my formal education laid the foundation, my years in the classroom have been my greatest teacher.

I believe in a practical approach to language learning. Language is a tool for communication, and my teaching methods focus on real-world applications. I employ various techniques to cater to diverse learning needs, ensuring students can find a method that resonates with them.

My classroom is a sanctuary of engaged learning where technology and tradition go hand in hand. As for classroom management, I believe in creating a respectful and inclusive environment where every voice is heard.

Outside the classroom, you might find me in the boxing ring! Boxing is not just a hobby for me; it's a discipline that I often integrate into my teaching philosophy. The focus, determination, and strategic thinking required in boxing are qualities that can benefit any learner.

I value face-to-face interactions as the most effective way to connect with both parents and students. While I may not provide regular updates to parents, my door is always open for those who wish to discuss their child's progress.

One memorable teaching experience that stands out is when a student of mine, initially struggling with basic English, went on to win a regional English Speaking competition. It was a proud moment that underscored the transformative power of education.

What's one thing people don't commonly know about me? I'm a gourmet cook! Yes, the discipline I apply in the classroom and the boxing ring also extends to the kitchen.

I look forward to an exciting and productive year ahead. Let's make learning an adventure!
