June has always been a month of caring and hoping, wishes and misses. Three years ago, we embraced our dreams to the Cal center; now, we leave with our dreams come true. In our long high school life, we accompany and support each other, travel across the world with wonder, and grow up in the battlefield for our future.(六月的情怀寄托了太多的祝福与惦念,也寄托了关怀和希望。3年前,我们怀着对出国梦想的憧憬,来到剑桥中心。今天,我们实现了梦想,即将告别校园。在高中生涯中,我们一起挥洒汗水,拼搏在各种考场中,飞遍世界各地,历经磨练,得到成长。)”

在王吉人与潘琪同学深情的诉说中,我校剑桥高中迎来了2016届高三毕业典礼。

方健文校长首先代表学校向完成学业、长大成人的同学们表示祝贺,向全体中、外方教师及升学指导教师表示感谢,向每一位家长致以敬意。方校长对本届毕业生的升学成绩予以肯定,并为同学们三年来的进步与成长感到欣慰。方校长希望同学们脚踏实地、严谨求学,保持理性,追求纯粹,牢记身份,勇于担当,朝着梦想的方向,实现自己的人生价值。

学术校长Dr. Mary Margret Magee出其不意地取出她的道具(盘子与小碗、砍刀与餐刀、竹筷与银餐具)向在座的各位阐述一个简单而又深邃的道理“And that is, the next stage of your education must be about you growing more and more comfortable with uncertainty. You can use your old ways of learning, or you can practice patience and curiosity and learn new ways.(在你教育的下一个阶段,你必须变得越来越适应生活的不确定性。你可以用你熟悉的方法去学习,或你也可以尝试去学习新的方法并培养你的耐心和好奇心。)”

Mr. Syed Mozammil Ahsan陪伴了学生们整整三年的认真负责和冷幽默一直让学生们动容。在毕业典礼的时刻,他也受邀畅谈感悟与期待。他以黎巴嫩诗人纪·哈·纪伯伦(Khalil Gibran)“教育不是在你脑海中播下种子,而是让你的种子得以生长。”Lebanese poet Khalil Gibran once said, “Education sows not seeds in you, but makes your seeds grow.”开篇,为同学们点明今后的日子里至关重要的三件东西:知识,领导力,和人格。(In the years to come, three things will be of utmost importance to youKnowledge, Leadership and Character.

父母是弓,儿女是箭。在见证孩子们成长新里程的场合里,2016C班徐唱妈妈代表所有家长以“选择”为题致辞,一路行来她感慨道“作为家长的我也和她一起成长,懂得了随着孩子的成长,家长要得体地退出,不让孩子成年窒息,让孩子学会选择。”

2016B班陈思霖同学代表所有同学讲话,“在杭外,我们被重视和肯定。不仅仅是因为学业成绩,更是因为我们的个性和品质。这三年来我们学会包容每个人的鲜明个性,并习惯表达自己不同的看法。”还有什么能够比得上这些言语更让教育者动容?

副校长、剑桥高中项目中心主任夏谷鸣以今年高考语文作文“VR(Virtue Reality)”为引,回顾了这三年与同学们的“见招拆招、相爱相杀”。在看似平淡的语言与波澜不惊的情绪中,长者质朴的期许溢于言表——“善待自己、入乡随俗、保持本色”。

激动人心的时刻到来了!2016届毕业生来到台上,方健文校长、徐继彬书记、夏谷鸣副校长和学术校长Dr. Magee为同学们颁发象征荣誉与肯定的毕业证书。

 

学生代表还向学校赠送了描绘着他们杭外情结的画作。

接下来的时间里,毕业班班主任赵晶、邹海连、方静、郑伟老师走上舞台,或深情或睿智或通达或感性地向同学们表达了不舍与期许。“人生不止有诗与远方,还有家和母校”,赵晶老师如是说。

 

毕业班的同学们通过视频的方式作了三年生活回顾,有一点无厘头、有一点小心思、有一点伤感、有一点浑然忘我!

方健文校长致辞

尊敬的各位老师,各位家长,亲爱的同学们:

大家上午好!

今天,我们欢聚一堂,挥别中学生涯,迈向新的征程。首先,请允许我代表学校,向同学们表示祝贺,祝贺你们完成学业,祝贺你们长大成人!向全体中、外方教师及升学指导教师表示感谢,感谢你们的默默坚守,感谢你们的辛勤付出!向家长们致以敬意,你们对孩子无私的爱和对学校工作的鼎力支持,为我们增添了前进的动力!

同学们,三年来,你们的进步和成长令人欣慰。从入读时的不适应,到逐渐跟上国际教育的节奏,直至后来语言、文化、思维的全面提升,你们付出了很多,也收获了很多。剑桥高中为你们搭建了一个不一样的发展平台,你们也用自己的实际行动证明,你们选择了一条适合自身特点的成长道路。

你们以学长、学姐们为榜样,在海外升学方面收获了“满堂彩”。126名同学,共收到来自世界各地大学预录取通知书500余份,其中,约55%的录取通知来自美国排名前50的综合性大学和文理学院,包括宾夕法尼亚大学、哥伦比亚大学、康奈尔大学等;约15%的录取通知来自英国排名前10的大学,包括牛津大学、剑桥大学、帝国理工学院等;约6%的录取通知来自加拿大多伦多大学、澳大利亚悉尼大学、墨尔本大学、香港大学等著名高校。部分同学受到国外高校的特别认可,成功申请奖学金;部分有志于艺术创作的同学,被世界一流专业院校录取,等等。这些成绩不仅充分证明同学们已经具备接受世界最好高等教育的素质和能力,更集中体现了我校剑桥高中的全球认可度与知名度。

同学们,你们即将离开故土、远渡重洋,踏上一段充满无限可能的人生旅途。在此,我想提几点希望,与大家共勉。

首先,希望你们脚踏实地、严谨求学。古人说,欲速则不达。对待一件事情,急于求成往往自乱阵脚,脚踏实地才能事半功倍。做学问尤其如此。进入大学后,无论是学习还是研究,都是一个细水长流的过程,绝不能奢望一步登天。高中三年,大家已经熟悉西方教育的理念与模式,做论文,写报告,搞调查,临时抱佛脚是行不通的,更何况大学更加强调自主学习,在学术要求上也更为严格。滴水能穿石,但绝非一日之功。在今后的求学道路上,希望大家一步一个脚印,认准目标,坚持到底。只要我们认认真真做好每一件小事,打牢基础,时刻准备,从量变到质变的升华就会在不经意间发生。

第二,希望你们保持理性,追求纯粹。现实世界充满诱惑,同时也充满了机遇。如何不在诱惑中迷失自我,是把握机遇、走向成功的关键。在幸福感世界排名前列的北欧国家,人们并不过分追求物质享受,而是在乎精神层面是否富足与丰盈。这或许能给我们一些启示。当我们在生活中感到彷徨、无助时,是否也要静下心来想一想,什么对自己来说才是最重要的?怎样的生活方式才是最适合自己的?古人说,鱼和熊掌不可兼得。摆脱名利的束缚或许很难,但我们要把主动权掌握在自己手里,始终保持一颗理性、纯粹的心,懂得放弃,学会选择,看淡得失,着眼长远。

第三,希望你们牢记身份,勇于担当。你们无疑是幸运的,父母为你们创造了出国留学的机会,你们可以到更大的舞台上,拓展自己的视野,施展自己的才华。但无论你们身在何方,将来取得多么大的成就,都不要忘记自己是一名中国人,是一位杭外人。希望你们自觉承担起“让世界了解中国、让中国走向世界”的光荣使命,在做好自己的同时,积极传播中国形象、讲好中国故事。此外,身为地球村的一员,你们还要勇于担当。正如最近在哈佛大学毕业典礼上演讲的中国学生何江所言,要凭借自己的努力,让现实变得更美好,哪怕只是一小步。

同学们,但愿你们听从内心的召唤,朝着梦想的方向,努力奋斗,坚定前行,活出一个真实的自己,活出一个精彩的未来。

夏谷鸣副校长致辞

同学们、老师们、各位家长:下午好!

今年高考语文的作文题是“虚拟现实”(VR),我怀疑会有多少学生能够写出真情。可能受这一情绪影响,我刚才坐在下面,倾听前面各位同仁、同学和同船(家长是我们一条船上的人)的发言,脑子也一直被干扰着:他们说的是他们想的吗?直到我被点名可以上台,我才定了定神,他们讲的肯定有真实成分,至少他们对你们的庆贺、祝愿是真心的,因为这也是我想表达的。

同学们,衷心祝贺大家毕业了!从典礼结束后开始,想迟到,再也不担心刷卡进五号楼;想有事,再也不需要跟何Sir编说法;想外卖,再也不必提防被班主任发现;想谈朋友,再也不用跟老师们躲猫猫;想打扮,再也不顾忌裙短发长。解放了,多好啊!学生们,你们说是不是,因为当年我毕业时也有类似感觉。但是,作为过来人,我提醒大家别高兴得太早,因为未来的路其实更艰辛,像似“刚出虎口,又入狼穴”。

同学们,在毕业此刻,我提议:全体起立,向你们的老师和父母鼓掌二十一响,感谢他们的栽培、养育之恩。同学们,要知道父母的不容易。一个多月前,我儿子放假回国,说暑假要去韩国交换,几千美金顷刻划入他人囊中。天下父母一样心,宁可自己省吃俭用,也要时刻准备着付款。也许有些同学会说或会想:我爸妈没你那么穷。是的,我相信。但你们要知道,父母对孩子没有无限责任。父母的钱是他们劳动积累,在你们满十八周岁以后,无权理所当然地索取。他们无私相助,你们理应感恩相报。同学们,要知道你们的老师也不容易。有一次,有一位学生跟我说:夏校长,你也是被雇佣的。言下之意,他有权解雇我。又有一次,有同学以消费者的身份跟学校“管理层”(学生的戏说)谈权益。还有一次,我差点成网红,因为我跟一同学私下谈话,被选择性地上传。作为教育者,我们很理解孩子成长过程的偶然与必然,但同学们,你们也要明白师生双方并非劳资双方,师生关系也并非是被消费与消费的关系。老师们的教育方式方法可以是各异,但动机和目的是一致的,希望你们成长、成器、成才。小学老师如此,中学老师也是如此,以后大学老师还是如此。

同学们,毕业意味着新的人生旅途开始,未来的路不会是一马平川。机会在途中,但坎坷在路边,同学们都准备好吗?以下三条tips是一位长者的忠告。

1. 善待自己。吃好,喝好,睡好,锻炼好,不酗酒,不吸烟,有个爱好,养成一个好习惯。课余之间,别忘了与人交往;压力之中,别忘了听段音乐;学习之余,别忘了泡上杯咖啡,沏上杯茶;低谷之时,别忘了找朋友私聊倾吐;开心之日,别忘了WeChat共享。如有可能,把大妈广场舞发扬到海外,也不一定是坏事。Carpe diem是古训,至今还是有其积极的意义。

2. 入乡随俗。到了人家的家里,别忘了学一学他们的法律,不至于走错路;到了人家的家里,别忘了读一读他们的校规,不至于做错事;到了人家的家里,别忘了想一想他们的风俗习惯,不至于穿错衣;到了人家的家里,别忘了看一看他们的张三李四,不至于说错话。敬畏、谦卑、诚信、感恩是融入新世界的通行证。

3. 保持本色。黑头发、黑眼睛、黄皮肤,走到哪儿,都是我们的符号。这符号的背后是几千年修炼的民族文化,这符号的背后是不断崛起的国家影响力,这符号的背后是无数个个性各异的你。走出国门,别忘了带上自己的文化,这是你的本钱;走出国门,别忘了带上自己的祖国,这是你的底气;走出国门,别忘了带上自己的个性,这是你的活力;走出国门,还请把各种任性留在家里,亮出去的是你的前台。豁达赢得朋友,包容显出气度,理解化解矛盾,尊重便是美德。

同学们,最后我想介绍一下19716月出生在南非的Elon Musk。他是世界上最大的网上支付PayPal公司、太空探索技术SpaceX公司、环保跑车Tesla公司以及太阳能发电SolarCity公司的创建人或CEO2013312日,SpaceX成功发射并回收可重复利用火箭,搭载飞船与国际空间站成功对接;20151221日,“猎鹰9号”火箭首次实现发射、回收全过程,成为第一个可实现一级火箭回收的轨道飞行器;201649日,SpaceX成功在大西洋上回收“猎鹰9号”一级火箭,首次实现在海上实现火箭回收;2013812日,Musk提出一种名为“Hyperloop”亚音速的新形交通概念,最高时速为1220公里,将于2016年建造。Musk在不到二十年的时间里,创造了一个又一个的奇迹。有人说:他远远地将世界甩在了身后。那么,同学们,我的问题是:在未来二十几年里,你们当中会有人远远地将Elon Musk甩在身后吗?期待着虚拟成现实。谢谢!

 

学术校长Dr. Mary Margret Magee致辞

Good afternoon!

I am going to start with a few statistics.  Last year, more than 300,000 Chinese students were studying at universities in the United States.  While the US is currently the preferred destination, the UK is a close second, along with Canada, Australia and other English-speaking countries.

Why are so many Chinese students going abroad for university study? Here are a few reasons:

       the Chinese university system doesn’t have enough places for the number of students who want a university education;

       students are interested in Western styles of teaching and learning; the growth in China of international programs like ours have perhaps motivated that interest

       rising incomes in China are making an overseas education affordable;

       a degree from a Western university is an advantage in the Chinese job market;

       Chinese employers view favorably the skills and English language proficiency that graduates bring

A summary of these points might be: how do they do things in foreign countries and what can I learn from them?  Maybe that’s what you really want to know and why you want to go to university in the West.  How do they do things in foreign countries and what I can learn from them?  I promise you that you will observe and participate in many odd practices while you are abroad, and I hope that you will learn from them.  What I hope, of course, is that your learning will be mostly about yourself and that you will allow yourself to change in response to what you learn.

Now, what are some of those things that they do differently in foreign countries?

Let’s move on to a more academic example.  When I ask students to tell me how they study, you always say the same 3 things: read the textbook, do past paper questions, ask classmates.  And I say, do you ever ask your teacher for help?  And you say, usually, no.  When you arrive at a university in the West, you will discover, especially in the United States, that you are expected to interact with the professor.  You are expected to ask questions, to go to the professor’s office hours, to introduce yourself, to show interest.  Do you think that everything you need to know about a subject is in one textbook? No.  One of the things you will realize at university is that there are virtually countless textbooks and that it is the job of the professor to organize and present multiple points of view for you to think about.

We are now approaching closer to the main idea of this talk. And that is, the next stage of your education must be about you growing more and more comfortable with uncertainty. You can use your old ways of learning, or you can practice patience and curiosity and learn new ways.

When you observe a peculiar custom or encounter a new idea at university, how will you react?  Will you say, We don’t do it that way in Hangzhou or Ningbo or will you say, That’s interesting, I must learn more.  When you interact with classmates from many countries, will you notice how they are different from you and avoid judging?  Will you ask questions, listen, and then ask deeper questions?

I am a big fan of the British writer Graham Greene.  His novels are quite dark and not terribly optimistic, but they are favorites of mine.  One is called The Quiet American, about an American official in Vietnam in the 1950s, in the period before the American war in Vietnam.  This official arrives in Vietnam convinced of American superiority and does terrible damage because of his ignorance and refusal to see.  That novel describes what we might now call a total absence of cross-cultural awareness.

When you go to university, I hope you will spend more time listening and asking questions than judging and comparing.  Many of you have had the good fortune to travel abroad and no doubt have many impressions of the countries you visited.  In the next few months, you will settle in a foreign land and live there for several years.  This is a fantastic opportunity for personal growth.  Of course you will learn skills useful for your careers in the future.  But I hope that you are always alert to how you can adapt and learn from your new environment.  There will be times when you are very angry or very frustrated.  Let me give you a personal example: when I am waiting to buy a ticket at the train station, I often have to stand in a long line.  Sometimes I see people skip the line completely and walk right up to the window!  This drives me crazy and I wonder why all the other people in line permit this.  I try not to react at all, but sometimes I react very angrily.  So, who is wrong? The person who walked straight up to the window? The other people in line?  Or me, for becoming angry?  The answer of course is C, me for judging.

The opportunities ahead will allow you to truly become a global citizen, with the wisdom to live comfortably with uncertainty and to know that there’s more than one answer to every question. Becoming a global citizen is not about, however, erasing your national identity or denying the customs and beliefs of your home.  You will arrive in the West later this summer with a fantastic education; experiences of community that many students in the west will envy; and your own intelligence and eagerness to learn.  These assets will help you navigate what’s ahead.

Let me add one more personal note before I conclude.  My year in this school has been one of the best professional experiences of my whole working life. I was lucky to teach The Girls (you know who you are) for a few months and loved your energy, humor and creativity.  HFLS students are mind-blowingly intelligent and independent.  I have never seen anything like your levels of student leadership and initiative and will try to nurture these in my new school.

This has all been very serious so I want to end with some light-hearted but sincere advice.   Graduation speeches always have 3 pieces of advice, so here they are:

1.      Don’t say SELF-STUDY ever again.  This expression only means something in the West if you’re talking to your therapist

2.      Don’t smoke

3.      Tell the truth

Good afternoon everyone.

It was indeed a surprise to me when I was informed that students had selected me to say a few words on behalf of all the teachers on this very special occasion. I thought you were done with me. No more Chemistry, No more Mr.Ahsan. But don’t worry class of 2016; this is not going to be another lesson from Organic Chemistry, that you all loved so much!

I have taught most of you from year one to year three. I remember I used to say in my lessons “enjoy learning” only to see a look of disbelief on everyone’s face. Chemistry lessons and enjoy it? You must be kidding Sir! How can one enjoy a chemistry lesson with all those strange formulas to remember, weird structures to draw and difficult concepts to comprehend. But somehow you all survived. And now that you are leaving, there is nothing wrong in admitting, for my sake, that you did enjoy. Perhaps ‘a little bit’.

Anyway, on a serious note, thank you for giving me this opportunity to say a few words before you embark on your journey in the quest of knowledge (and I emphasize knowledge) to lands far away.

Lebanese poet Khalil Gibran once said, “Education sows not seeds in you, but makes your seeds grow.”

As teachers, both the foreign and local staff, have played our part in preparing you to grow. This is the required role of a teacher and the ultimate lifelong purpose of education. 

As you move forward, what is most important in your journey is to have a purpose. While it would be easier to slide through life without a purpose, or without a code, life wouldn’t be so fulfilling or rewarding. It is only by setting difficult goals and achieving them can one find true self – worth. I hope that you are able to develop this attitude backed by a purpose in your own lives.

In the years to come, three things will be of utmost importance to you. Knowledge, Leadership and Character.

Knowledge is much more than just getting the best grades. It is a life – long commitment and love towards learning. Each time you decide to learn something new; the experience itself will be so rewarding that the next time it will be even easier. Soon after, learning becomes a habit and surely through this habit of learning, you become knowledgeable in the area of your interest.

Russian writer Chekov once wrote “Knowledge is of no value unless put into practice” which brings me to my next point; leadership.

Leadership is not just about knowing everything, or being elected or appointed to a superior position. Leadership is an attitude cultivated over time. Do you have a purpose in life? Are you able to follow that purpose to reach the ends you desire? Do you have a vision? These are all questions that true leaders would answer in the affirmative. Each small decision that you are making is actually taking you one step closer to your vision. As an effective leader, your goal should not be to gain power or authority but rather to get your vision and purpose across.

As former US Secretary of States Henry Kissinger puts it “The task of the leader is to get his people from where they are to where they have not been” and to do so, you ought to have not just vision but also character.

If there is one thing that reflects your daily decisions, it is certainly your character. What do you do when no one’s around? You are in the middle of your weekly test when your teacher decides to step out of the room for a moment. You know exactly where the answer to question 4 is in your notes. It is just a glance away and you have very little chance of getting caught. Would you look? The answer to this question is the key to your true character. Character is therefore doing the right thing when no one is looking and the belief that you are right. 

In conclusion, I congratulate you for being the graduating class of 2016. It was indeed a pleasure teaching you and watching you grow over the years. You have all worked hard so far but there is a lot of work still left to be done.

Philosopher Lao-Tzu said "A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step". You have taken that step.

Now enter the higher institutions to learn and go forth to serve your country. Remember that in these institutions, you are the ambassador of your country, so be a proud representative.

Dear distinguished guests, parents, teacher, and fellow students,

Good afternoon.

This picture was taken in 2008, when I was 9 years old, in the fourth grade. What impressed me at that campabout HFLS were the grass slope in front of the Entel school building, the thunder at the pottery class, the splendid library building, and the popcorn popper in the grocery store. However,what we have experienced here in the last three years ismuch more than beautiful scenery. We explored interests with great curiosity; we are not afraid of raising objections, or even challenging authority. We look forward to the CAL Centre to welcome and cultivate a brighter future. In the meanwhile, we hope to discover and better ourselves. At this moment, I would like to give thanks to our parents and teachers sitting with us here today. Thank you to the teachers for your tireless mentoring; thank you for tolerating our occasional immature behavior. Thank you to the parents for spurring us when we slack off; thank you for supporting us when we are feeling blue. Let’s give them a round of applause!

We feel valued here, not only because of academic achievement, but also for the people we have become. I still remember one of my classmates from HFLS English camp. She never hesitated to express herself, while others were not so confident about their ability to express their ideas; surprisingly, she was excluded for this reason. I witnessed the similar prejudice toward other mavericks among our classmates when we had just started high school. Fortunately, we gradually learn to appreciate each other’s distinct personalities, and eventually got used to thinking in new, unconventional ways. In such a community with great diversity, comparison seems not so significant any more. Whichever universities and majors we are attending and pursuing will all lead us closer to our dreams. I believe it will be our abilities and vision that define us, but never sheer rankings. As the last assembly I organized, this is also the most memorable one. I want to thank everyone who has devoted their time and energy to this commencement. It has been my great honor to collaborate with all you fantastic friends. During these three years, we have continuously discovered others’ sparkles and brilliance. Hope you can still be so cool in the coming yearsas you are at this moment.

As we go off onto the next chapter in our lives,I would like to end my speech with a quote from the movie [The Perks of Being a Wallflower]: “There are people who forget what it's like to be 16 when they turn 17. I know these will all be stories someday. And our pictures will become old photographs. We'll all become somebody's mom or dad. But right now these moments are not stories. This is happening. You are alive, and you stand up and see the lights on the buildings and everything that makes you wonder. And in this moment I swear, we are infinite.”

各位领导,老师们,家长们,同学们:

大家下午好!徐唱作为班长,被同学们叫为唱妈,我就是唱妈的妈妈,感谢学校选了我,让我荣幸作为家长代表在这特别的日子里发言。所以,选择是人生的机缘,让学校、老师、同学、家长有了相识相知的缘分。我把“选择”作为我今天发言的主题。

首先想对学校和老师说——庆幸这份选择。

选择是人生的总和,人的一生将无数次站在十字路口面临选择,选择决定人生。和很多家长一样,三年前,为了不让孩子宝贵的青春在刷题中度过,我们选择了留学之路。在已保送的重高、美高、国际高中里选择了杭外剑高。不仅因为剑高骄人的升学成果,还因为杭外不是商业的炒作和和项目的吹嘘,而是有着教育理念和教育情怀的办学。高中阶段,是一个人世界观、人生观、价值观形成最重要的阶段。孩子思想和独立人格逐步完善的过程不是靠灌输和说教就可以完成的,需要去实践、体验、经历、感悟。杭外民主、平等、宽松、大气的氛围为孩子提供了足够的时间和空间。夏校长招生会上朴实诚恳的介绍,坦言剑高课程还不够丰富,师资可能会不够稳定。尽管杭外剑高还在一个不断完善发展的过程中,难免也有不尽人意的地方,但和其他高中被题海占据,被分数决定,失去思考和选择机会的孩子相比,我为我的孩子感到庆幸。

庆幸这份选择,还要感谢剑高的校领导和有爱心和负责任的老师们。夏校长时时强调着做人、诚信、不功利。戎老师及时发着各项通告,何老师管理琐碎事务还不忘拿起相机为孩子记录活动点滴;不论中方老师还是外方老师,亲切热情、不厌其烦地解答孩子们的提问;班主任老师睿智的班级管理;无时不刻回答着孩子和家长问题最贴心的升学指导郭老师和杨老师们。在这里,仅代表全体家长对学校领导和老师们致以最崇高的敬意和最诚挚的感谢!

其次想对我们自己说——学会如何选择。

剑高的三年,学会选择是每一个孩子的必修课。要选择课程、社团、国家、大学、专业,面临统考,标化,活动多种任务,如何安排选择?难免会让孩子有时会焦虑烦躁。就拿女儿的活动来说,在老师的指导下她和同学们一起收集、整理、编排、制作,印刷了年鉴,申请经验集。印刷商出现错误她敢于去交涉、在当时经费还没有保障时自告奋勇去新生家长会宣传,一下卖掉了五十多本年鉴……就这样锻炼了能力。而让我感到最欣喜的是,三年的剑高生活让我看到了女儿巨大的变化,我们可以像朋友一样神聊,升学的事情几乎都是她自己搞定,她时常教育我不要把我的观点灌输给她,影响她,因为她想了解不同的看法,她想有自己的判断和选择。

作为家长的我也和她一起成长,懂得了随着孩子的成长,家长要得体的退出,不让孩子成年窒息,让孩子学会选择。面对这么多的选择和挑战,孩子们最终走出了困惑和茫然,大家都申请到了自己心仪的大学,作为家长我们没有攀比和焦虑,没有排名高低的大学,只有最适合孩子的大学,在这里也祝贺所有的孩子圆满地完成了升学目标。

最后想对孩子们说——坚持自己的选择。

当分离的脚步越来越近的时候,每个父母都有一万个不放心,一万分不舍得,但我们知道亲子关系不是一种恒久的占有,分离也是父母在孩子身上必须完成的任务。不论你们如何选择,不论你们如何发展,父母都会是你们最坚定最理解的支持者。做父母是生命中一场深厚的缘分,是一场心胸和智慧的远行。这未尝不是一种艰难却坚定的选择。所以,孩子们,为你们的父母鼓掌。

教育的最高境界正是为了获得一份真正的志趣。孩子们,今天父母尽其所能、倾其所有选择让你们留学,不仅仅是为了让你们有一份工作、一个谋生手段、一项经济来源,更是为了塑造你们一生提纲挈领的灵魂,为了你们真正的志趣所在。

这三年老师和家长给了你们很多的帮助和照顾,接下来踏上留学之路,如何选择更多要靠你们自己了。希望你们坚持自己的选择,让人生总有奋斗的梦想和着眼的落脚,在更加广阔的世界里,朝着自己的人生目标飞得更远、更高吧。
