渐入期末，新年的钟声也即将敲响，高一年级的学生们迎来了期待已久的高桌晚宴。这是我们第一次对西方餐饮礼仪有了大体上的了解。

放学后，我们前往5116听了来自索菲特大酒店工作人员对于餐桌礼仪的讲座。来自土耳其对高端餐饮礼仪颇有研究的一位先生，以诙谐的口吻告诉了我们一些餐具的用法，上菜顺序以及晚餐的一些禁忌与规则。中国餐饮礼仪文化并不如西方那般完善与讲究，很多中国传统礼仪已在历史长河中被淡化或者罢黜。在初次了解西方礼仪之后，我们对接下来的高桌晚宴充满了期待。

讲座结束后，我们结伴走到食堂三楼，三楼的桌面上铺了一层红色的桌布，餐具整齐地摆放在桌面上，初到餐厅的我们被气派的场面震慑住了，一时不知如何是好，便站在门口兴奋地交谈着，直到谢老师将我们引入座位。各自安坐后，学术校长为高桌晚宴致辞，对新的一年给予了美好的祝福。

到第一道菜由食堂工作人员送上桌之后，夜幕已悄然笼罩了如画的小和山，高二的学长们不辞辛苦地为我们送上饮品。老师们也与我们一起享受晚餐。烤鸡腿，小土豆，面包，蛋糕，蔬菜沙拉等西式菜肴构成了一顿值得回味的晚餐。

晚宴结束后走出食堂，天已黑尽，我们三三两两结伴离开了食堂。

即使这次活动只是对西方餐饮礼仪浅尝辄止，但我们对西方文化有了大致的了解，我们所有人都将走出国门，在不同的国际舞台上发光发热。这次对西方文化的初次体验为我们提供了一个良好的基础。感谢为高桌晚宴而付出辛劳的食堂工作人员与高二志愿者们。

The end of this semester is coming soon, new year is also on its way. The high table dinner which was expected by year one students for a longtime was already waiting for us.

After school, we went to room 5116 to have a workshop about dinning etiquette given by the staff from Sofitel Luxury hotel. He told us something about the use of dinnerware, the order of different kinds of dishes and some rules during the dinner. Chinese dinning etiquette doesn’t as improved and exquisite as that in western countries. A lot of Chinese conventional etiquette is weaken and abolished. As the first time we got the sense of dinning etiquette, all of us expected this high table dinner.

We went to the third floor of the canteen after the workshop. The canteen staff spread red tablecloth on the table and the dinnerware were placed in alignment. As we arriving the canteen, we were shocked by the spectacle. We didn’t know what should we do, just chatting with friends under great excitement. Until Miss Grace told us to set on the seats. After we took seats idly, center principal gave us a speech and best wishes for new year.

When the first dish delivered by the canteen staff, the sky go darker and darker. Some students in year two provided our drinks. Teachers also enjoyed the dinner with us. After the toasted chicken, we enjoyed the bread, cake, vegetable salad, and other western dishes.

When the high table dinner finished, we went out of the canteen, the sky changed totally into black.

Although this time we didn’t study further about the dinning etiquette, we got a general idea about it. There is no doubt that it will become a precious memory and useful knowledge in future. All of us will go aboard, develop on different international stages, this experience provide a good base for our future.
