5月23日下午，在5116阶梯教室举行了一年一度的Casio杯英语演讲比赛。今年演讲的主题是My dream in my school。

在这样的日子里，我们走上台，对着世界大声地说着我们的梦想。八个人，曹苏媛、陈雨琳、施嘉禾、田雪嫣、金骁枫、于赟皓、杨竞一、张意彬，四男四女，风格迥异，百花齐放。最后，Casio杯演讲比赛的冠军由初三（3）班的曹苏媛和初三（5）班的金骁枫获得！

在演讲台上，我们振臂高呼着直面这个世界的不完美；我们面带笑意地勾勒着这世界上一点一滴的小确幸。我们拥有最好的年华，我们拥有最美的梦想。或许今后的日子里，我们不会再有站在台前滔滔不绝的机会，但倘若我们能在今后的路上永不言弃，那是杭外给我们的勇气；倘若我们能改变这世界哪怕只是小小一隅，那是杭外给我们的自信。这是我们的象牙塔，是我们的乌托邦，我们在这里用汗水和泪水种下自己的梦想，让它生根发芽，看它抽枝长叶，盼它开花结果。

在这里，我们得以为自己真正想做的事而努力拼搏着，从不后悔，永不言弃。或许今日，我们一身荣光是杭外给的，但正是我们点点的萤火汇成了杭外的骄傲！

或许我们的梦想虚无缥缈得让人取笑，或者切近的好似唾手可得。但在这里，只要有梦想就值得骄傲，这是梦开始的地方。很多年以后，这些梦想会将我们带回这个地方，让我们将故事讲给这个我们爱了千百遍的地方。

我们会跌倒，会受伤，会看到这世上许许多多不完美。但杭外点亮了我们心中小小的火炬，即便长夜漫漫，也不至于迷失方向。我们是被梦想宠坏了的孩子，从传说里来，不知又将飞往哪儿去。即使梦是易碎的，也要俯下身来，拾起那碎了一地的梦的渣滓，噼里啪啦地烧成另一个春季。这个春季会将所有的不美好都融化了，再重塑成梦想的样子。

是这个地方教会我们去爱，去梦这世间的一切。这里承载了我们一生最美的时光。它把我们送给世界的每一个地方，让我们去点亮它，最后我们回来，来实现我们的誓言：

曹苏媛演讲稿

Ladies and gentlemen:

It’s known to all our school was established 50 years ago by our beloved ex-Premier Zhou to train more talented people to serve the country. With this in mind, we students always have the dream as the school motto: Study for the motherland, prepare for the future, which is also my dream in my school.

When I started schooling, seeing the Five-Starred National Flag gradually rising in the sky, my heart was filled up with not only the enthusiasm, but the profound love of our country as well. Along with the time, I’ve got to know what had happened to my motherland and that her history was filled with people's resistance. When you visit Yuanmingyuan ruins, they can always remind you of that terrible history. I think it’s our responsibility to make our motherland free from those scaring aggressions. With the great efforts of the whole country in the past decades, we did it! We successfully let her walk on the road of prosperity.

It goes without saying that it is the communists that leads the Chinese people to stand up, and China feeds 22% of the population with only 7% of the farming land in the world. We can proudly announce that our comprehensive national strength is much stronger than before. Rows and rows of sky-scrapers, together with beautiful parks around them are an obvious fact that the Communist Party of China has led Chinese people to obtain one achievement upon another. China has got the focus from the whole world. 

With this, someone predicts that the 21 century will witness a world of Chinese. I firmly believe that the Communist Party will lead our country to be the one admired by the world! When the five-starred national flag rose in Beijing Olympic games repeatedly, the exciting national anthem rang out in the ear side clearly, I had a kind of impulse, a kind of sacred feeling, a kind of surge in emotion, which I could hardly express myself in words. The pride and solemn echoes in my heart: That is: “I am Chinese!”

Let us unite as one to build country more and more prosperous with our hands! Dear friends, let us work harder to welcome the brilliant future with pride and glory!

This is my dream. This is also our Chinese dream, the revivification of the nation will certainly be fulfilled!

金骁枫演讲稿

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen!

At the very beginning, let’s go back to 50 years ago when the former premier Zhou set up HFLS, since it was urgent for our country at that time to cultivate qualified diplomats and interpreters who would benefit the promotion of the relationships between other countries and China. So it was no wonder that HFLS was regarded as one of the best-known schools. Everyone was proud of being a student here and so did I.

But decades has passed by, China has become stronger. Being in the age of information technology era, it seems many talents in English have given way to scientists who make great contributions to the society, in that every giant step in technology tends to give rise to a tremendous revolution.

“Scientists are more important. It’s a pity so many geniuses go to foreign languages schools to major in languages.” People around me always say like that.

This really shocks me. Is that true? I wonder. I’ve always wanted to become a foreign language teacher like Zhang Yinzhi who works in Holland or an interpreter like Zhang Jing who once worked for the National People's Congress. However, the opinions held by a number of people make me struggle with my mind. Which field should I choose, Languages or science?

This question whirled in my mind for a long time, but finally I make the decision. My dear teachers not only enhanced my esthetical and artistic appreciation ability, which is of great importance for the students, but also taught me the significant scientific knowledge. So I’m going to be a scientist to better devote myself to human beings, for China is in great need of scientists, for science is more related to our lives, for science changes the world. In this way, I can take advantage of my sound English proficiency to communicate and share ideas with foreign scientists. I will use my passion to motivate the young generation. I will tell them not to give up either of languages and science, for either is the inseparable part of human beings.

This is my dream in my school, my HFLS. Today she nurtures my high thinking and great ambitions. I owe her a debt of gratitude that I shall never be able to repay, but I will go persistently to the direction of my dream.

Today, I take pride in my school and tomorrow my school will take pride in me.
