HFLS 51st Annual Sports Meeting
With expectation and excitement, we had our 51stannual sports meeting on October 24th. Though the weather was cloudy, that didn't stop the passion flowing from all the students. Every student was excited, not only for the upcoming sports meeting, but also because we had the chance to spend time at the old campuswhere so many memories were made.
After the various and fantastic performances of the opening ceremony, it was time for the first race. With music playing through the stadium, all the runners did their best to reach the finish line first.
Although many athletes performedwellduring the sports meeting, there were still some disappointing moments.A student from class 1D said, “there was only 7 cm between my score and the best record it is kind of a pity though, I will take part in this competition again in next year to break it.” Since it was the first time year one students to attend a HFLS’s sports meeting, we are already looking forward to next year's where we have the opportunity to fight again in a setting that we are now familiar with. However, it might be the last sports meeting for the Year 2 students of the CAL center. Almost everyone in Year2 was upset to see the end to the time on the sports field.
Two days passed so quickly that we didn't have the chance to experience everything sports meeting, luckily there were many photographers capturing the moments and all the referee's kept records of the events. During the closing ceremony, students gathered together, all expectant for the award ceremonyand cheered when a member of their class won. Back at the campus, certificates were put on the board to show our success. We will be proud of these achievements for a long time to come.
Thanks to all students for their efforts in creating an unforgettable sports meeting. Let's hope that spirit remains strong through the rest of our year and the next sports day.

Sunshine Partnership Competition
On October 24th, we had a competition called Sunshine Partnership.Teamwork plays an indispensable role in this activity, as the basic rule of this game is to getthe whole team, moving as one, to the end of the field as quickly as possible.
After the game, we interviewed some of the participants from Year1, CAL Center. Most of them told us that they spent most of their leisure time preparing for this exciting game. One of them said,“We had tried plenty of methods and asked for many suggestions to improve our strategy. For instance, we were supposed to get to the closest one first, so that we can run through the smallest distance.” After all, it’s a game; therefore, all the teams will be ranked in terms of the time used to complete the entire process and there would be champion and losers. However, no one who participated expressed his or her disappointment, sadness, or anger. Instead, it seemed that everyone enjoyed so much during the whole activity that they have even forgot that this was a competition.
Combined with the feelings given byour interviewees, it turned out that most students had accepted and enjoyed this new game. Reasons are obvious, we built and developed our friendshipsthrough this game, we relaxed and enjoyed ourselves andwe saw the significance of teamwork and cooperation.
